The Ballina Beach Village offers you an informal, fun and beachy style wedding, where your very special event can be deliciously catered for in Mermaid’s Cafe and your special guests accommodated in fun beachside cabins.
Many couples want to make their weddings a really memorable weekend – where family and friends can stay together for the whole time, rather than just a quick event. The trend is for weddings to become a family and friends reunion – making them just that much more special, and this is exactly what we offer at the Ballina Beach Village.
From the Friday night arrival party to the Sunday farewell lunch you and your guests will be entertained and delighted in the fun, relaxed beach environment. No hassle – no fuss, it is all about you and making your day special. We specialise in budget beach weddings – bank the money for all the frills and décor, let nature be your backdrop and just enjoy your special day with family and friends.
We can also arrange entertainment for you including the sensational Rhythm Konnections drumming troupe, Utopian Fire dancers who can celebrate your special event with a burning heart and of course our Irish pub band on Sunday. Little ones are included too, and we can arrange for sand painting parties, glitter tattoos and face painting and games for all the kids.
Of course your guests might also want to do one of our bike rides, kayak tours, hit the beach with their surfboards or chill out in our café.

We can accommodate all your guests in fine style. We have 220 beds on site, and a wide range of accommodation at varying costs. Our package accommodation deals are unbeatable. Here is what we have to offer.

DELUXE BUNGALOWS

Fully self contained, all linen supplied, Austar, Wifi free, flat screen TVs, all kitchen amenities, attractive Balinese décor, AC. Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, bunk bedroom with two bunk beds, lounge room has quality inner spring leather bed couch. Sleep 4 to 6 depending on sleeping configuration.

STANDARD CABINS LARGE

Fully self contained, all linen supplied, TV, AC, kitchen amenities, beachy décor. Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, bunk bedroom with three bunk beds, futon bed couch in the lounge. Sleep 4 to 6 depending on sleeping configuration.

STANDARD CABINS MEDIUM

Fully self contained, all linen supplied, TV, AC, kitchen amenities, beachy décor, smaller kitchen and lounge area. Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, bunk beds (2 or 3) and futon bed couch in the lounge. Sleep 4 to 6 depending on sleeping configuration.

DORMITORY ACCOMMODATION – BACKPACKERS

Single beds, clean linen, no bathroom so share group amenities, small kitchenette, AC, TV. Use of all facilities.

STANDARD CABINS SMALL

Linen supplied, small double bedroom, small bathroom, small kitchenette. AC, TV. Unrenovated.

POOL BUREES

Linen supplied, small double bedroom open plan with two bunk beds, small kitchenette and lounge with TV and AC. Sleep 3 to 4 people depending on sleeping configuration. Older style, unrenovated.

FISHERMENS’ CABINS.

The basic fishing shack with an open plan cabin, three bunk beds a double bed, and a kitchenette. Fishermen and surfers love these shacks – very,very basic – but hey its priced right for someone!

Mermaids Cafe

Mermaid’s café is a lovely fun balcony café where we can host your wedding feast as either a sit down dinner for 40 or a stand up cocktail style event for 70. We offer fresh, beachy style food menus that won’t break your bank. Your wedding feast can be catered for starting from just $25 a person! Now that is value for money.

For those weddings that are a weekend affair, we can do a package meal deal and accommodation per head for breakfast lunch and dinner each day or just breakfast and lunch with accommodation.  You will be pleasantly surprised at the prices.

How to Find the Ballina Beach Village

Where are we?? Good question we are located on the beautiful, wide wonderful South Ballina Beach opposite the magnificent Richmond River. Here is how you get to us

TRAVELLING SOUTH – go through Ballina till you come to the Big Prawn, take the next left into Burns Point Ferry Road. Cross the river on the little car ferry and on the other side. Take the first left and go to the end of the road. Look for the flags. Welcome you have arrived at the Ballina Beach Village.

TRAVELLING NORTH – turn right into River Drive, just before you cross the bridge at Wardell. Follow River Drive to the end, and then turn right into South Ballina Beach Road. Go to almos the end. Look for the flags – welcome you have arrived at the Ballina Beach Village.

THE CAR FERRY – the car ferry runs from 5.30am to 12.30am every day. It takes about 5 minutes to cross, and it takes off every 10 minutes. It can take very large vehicles including trucks and caravans. The cost is $4 per ride.
