About Ballina Beach Village
We understand that a family holiday should be about relaxing, friendly, fun – for the whole family. That’s why we are Ballina’s favourite pet-friendly family holiday and camping destination.
Situated on 18 acres of coastal bush, Ballina Beach Village is adjacent to South Ballina Beach – a 4wd and fishing haven! We are popular for being 4WD friendly, campfire friendly, family friendly and pet friendly, with facilities including on off-lead dog area, kids nature-based playground, two swimming pools and a range of cabins, powered and unpowered sites to suit every setup. Uniquely located, we know you will love both the tranquillity of the park where the roar of the ocean lulls you to sleep, and the convenience of Ballina township just a 15min trip across the Burns Point ferry.
On behalf of the Ballina Beach Village team, I look forward to welcoming you and your family and friends to your home away from home.
Margaret Shannon (General Manager)
Ballina Beach Village is a caravan and campers paradise! We are situated on 20 acres of wilderness paradise – only 15 minutes to Ballina – making us a great place to have your next Ballina holiday. Ballina Beach Village offers a wide range of cabin accommodation from economy to superior cabins, or if camping and caravanning is more your thing then you’ll be impressed by our range of powered and unpowered camping sites.
South Ballina Beach
We are located just behind the treed primary sand dune of the endless South Ballina Beach – known as a great left hand surf break! Access to the beach is a short 4-6 minute walk from your cabin or site, or your can take a stroll down South Ballina Beach Road to the wide and serene Mobbs Bay on the Richmond River – a great shallow swimming spot for the kids.
South Ballina Beach is 4wd friendly, with access to the beach at the front of the park. You can drive the 34km beach without a permit, however as the beach is under National Parks management, it is not pet-friendly. See an array of wildlife, watch the whales (in season), go for a surf or dip a line in.
Enjoy our fully pet-friendly family accommodation, designed to suit every holiday budget and suitable for couples to large groups.
Choose from a selection of cabins, all with relaxing and holiday fun in mind! We also provide powered caravan and camping sites with easy access to the waterfront for fishing and relaxing.
Every cabin is fully self contained with all linen provided, and we have started a refurbishment program with the first 10 cabins currently online (superior cabins).
Our caravan and camping sites are pet friendly year-round! Make the most of the shady trees and spacious areas over the 18 acres of beachside wilderness. Our sites are complemented by our camp kitchen, three amenities blocks and park facilities, with easy access to the 4wd track leading to South Ballina Beach.
At Ballina Beach Village, we pride ourselves on our friendly staff, clean facilities and classic camping atmosphere. You’ll love our huge camp kitchen with great amenities, two pools, three amenities blocks, two laundromats and our well stocked kiosk and cafe.
During school holidays there is a festival feeling with entertainers, musicians and activities for the children including tie dyeing, pony rides, Bingo, sausage sizzles and more – a really great Ballina holiday feeling.
Group Accommodation & Facilities
We can cater to large groups and are one of the best spots in Ballina for a wedding, family reunion, fishing group, caravan club and more. 4Wheel Drivers love the great beach access with no permit required and access all the way down to Evans Heads. Bring your kayak, fishing rod, kite surf gear, boat or jet-ski and explore the amazing waterways.
The fishing is excellent with beach, river and rock wall spots (dhu fish, taylor, salmon, whiting, flat head, black fish, flat head, bream, snapper). Bait, tackle, ice and fishing licences are available at our kiosk.
Ballina Beach Village also welcome international travellers from around the world for the many wonderful mind body and spirit retreats held here – such as Santosha Yoga Teacher Training; First Ship yoga teacher training; Sacred Earth, Deva Premal and Miten ecstatic chanting; Path of Love personal growth retreats; Path of Dzar; Bollywood workshops; African drumming and dance; Diamond Way Buddhist Festival to name but a few.
