The Ballina Beach Village offers a unique caravan and camping experience. We are very popular with many South Africans in Australia as they say our village reminds them of their wonderful veldt and they almost expect giraffes to walk past! So welcome to our wonderful wilderness camping village – where we offer a range of caravan and camping styles to suit most needs. Here is what we offer
1. POWERED SITES WITH SLAB – these are conveniently located sites amongst the cabins very close to the amenities blocks, pools, huge camp kitchen, and café, kiosk and restaurant. They are approximately 8 x 10 metres. Sites have power and water. Rates are from $34 per night for 2 people up to $85 per night at NYE. Extra guests are $8 for children to 11 years, and $16 for children 12 years and over.
2. POWERED SITES WILDERNESS CAMPING – These beautiful spacious sites are under the dreams spread throughout our beautiful treed acreage. Look out for the zebras and giraffes! Water and power for each site.Rates are from $34 per night for 2 people up to $85 per night at NYE. Extra guests are $8 for children to 11 years, and $16 for children 12 years and over.
3. UNPOWERED SITES – don’t need power then let loose and pick the tree of your dreams and camp under it. Lots of cool, breezy sites.Rates are from $28 per night for 2 people up to $75 per night at NYE. Extra guests are $8 for children to 11 years, and $16 for children 12 years and over.
4. SPECIAL SITES – GAZEBO SITES – there are 4 powered sites around the large roofed gazebo area which is located near the second western amenities block (quite close to cabins 22, 28, 32, 34, and 44). Rates are from $45 per night for 2 people up to $105 per night at NYE. Extra guests are $8 for children to 11 years, and $16 for children 12 years and over.
5. SPECIAL SITES – DRIVE THROUGH – West 1, 2, 3 and 4 area great drive through sites. No extra loading on these sites.
6. SPECIAL SITES – WINNEBAGO SITE this is a large slab site suitable for a really big bus, winnebago etc. located near the second western amenities block (quite close to cabins 22, 28, 32, 34, and 44). Rates are from $45 per night for 2 people up to $105 per night at NYE. Extra guests are $8 for children to 11 years, and $16 for children 12 years and over.
WATER: on site we have two types of water. Our rainwater is collected, triple filtered and then sterilised with uv light before arriving at your tap. So please don’t wash your vehicles with it!
We also have bore water which is also triple filtered and then sterilised which we use for the washing up taps, showers, bathrooms in the cabins. This is quite potable but is highly mineralised (in fact it is quite good for you with high levels of calcium and magnesium) but frankly taste quite strong.
FIRES: you are welcome to have a fire during outside of Christmas New Year and Easter (when it is just too crowded for a fire). You can either bring your own brazier to have a fire in but it must have a pan to collect ashes and coals (this is for health and safety reasons, and because we don’t want to damage the grass), or you can hire a brazier from us at $10 a day. We also have wood and marshmallows for sale! You definitely CANNOT under any circumstances bring a chain saw and starting chopping limbs down, or break tree limbs off to add to your campfire. We will get very upset – the Lord of the Universe I.e. Our manager will descend on you and make your life hell if you do that!
